Stefan Beyenburg est surtout specialisé dans le domaine des épilepsies et maladies apparentées. Il est engagé dans la formation continue et l’enseignement en tant que „Privatdozent“ à l’université de Bonn et comme maître de stage à l’université du Luxembourg et aux universités de Bruxelles.
Multiples publications sous forme de chapitres dans des traités de neurologie et d’articles dans des “ peer-reviewed journals“ (p.ex.Neurology, Journal of Neurology, Epilepsy & Behavior, Epilepsy Research, Epilepsia, Gerontology, Age and Ageing). Ad Hoc Reviewer pour des revues scientifiques internationales (p.ex. Epilepsy Research, Epilepsia, Seizure). Membre de l‘Editorial Boards de Seizure (European Journal of Epilepsy) et Zeitschrift für Epileptologie. Membres de nombreuses sociétés scientifiques.
Biosketch Stefan Beyenburg, MD, PhD
Stefan Beyenburg (SB) received training in clinical neurology and neuroscience in Bonn, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Tokio. After finishing medical school in 1989, SB obtained his doctoral degree in 1991. After training of clinical neurology and psychiatry at the Universities of Bonn and Halle/Germany, he was working as Senior Neurologist and “Leitender Oberarzt” at the Department of Neurology in Leverkusen and “Oberarzt” at the Departments of Neurology and Epileptology in Bonn, Germany. He also received a full training in clinical epileptology at the Department of Epileptology, University of Bonn (Head: Prof. Dr. C.E. Elger, FRCP), where he obtained the German habilitation degree in 2001. Since 2002, SB is working as Senior Consultant Neurologist and Epileptologist at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. He is currently Head of the Department of Neurosciences, Centre Hospitalier de Luxemboug.
Stefan Beyenburg is Privatdozent at the University of Bonn, Germany, “Maître de Stage” at the University of Luxembourg, and “Maître de Stage aux Universités de Bruxelles”.
His research has been described in several book chapters and numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals including Neurology, Journal of Neurology, Epilepsia, Epilepsy Research, Gerontology, Age and Ageing, and Epilepsy & Behavior. SB is an active Ad Hoc Reviewer for several international journals in the field of Neurology and Epileptology and his is a member of the Editorial Boards of Seizure (European Journal of Epilepsy) and Zeitschrift für Epileptologie

Facharztausbildung in Neurologie und Psychiatrie an den Universitäten Bonn und Halle/Saale. Ab 1995 Leitender Oberarzt an der Klinik für Neurologie in Leverkusen, später Oberarzt an der Klinik für Epileptologie Bonn (Prof. Dr. C.E. Elger, FRCP). 2001 Habilitation und venia legendi für das Fachgebiet Neurologie. Seit 2002 Neurologe und Epileptologe am Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. Zur Zeit « Médecin Chef du Deprtement des Neurosciences ».
Stefan Beyenburg ist in Ausbildung und Lehre tätig als Privatdozent an der Universität Bonn, als Maître de Stage an der Universität Luxemburg und als „Maître de Stage aux Universités de Bruxelles“.
Publikationen zahlreicher Arbeiten in Buchkapiteln und in peer-reviewed journals (u.a.
